In an astonishing turn of events, the film 'Dhurandhar' has achieved a remarkable feat at the box office, solidifying its status as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. Directed by Aditya Dhar and featuring the talents of Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna in leading roles, this cinematic piece has shown no signs of slowing down even after 34 days in theaters. With its fifth week underway, the movie has demonstrated an impressive resilience at the box office, experiencing only a slight dip in earnings according to early projections.
On Day 34, reports from sacnilk reveal that 'Dhurandhar' garnered approximately Rs 4.25 crore, marking its fifth Wednesday in theaters. Remarkably, despite being a month post-release, the film maintained a solid 10.69 percent occupancy rate across theaters. Notably, during its fifth weekend, 'Dhurandhar' set a new benchmark by achieving the highest collections for a film in its fifth week, surpassing the previous record held by 'Chhaava', which earned Rs 30 crore, with 'Dhurandhar' raking in an estimated Rs 33.25 crore net over just three days.
However, there was a slight decline on Monday, where it earned around Rs 4.75 crore, a figure that remained consistent on Tuesday as well. Following Wednesday’s collections, the total net revenue for the fifth week reached an impressive Rs 47 crore.
Reviewing the film’s performance on a week-by-week basis, the India nett collections are as follows:
- Week 1: Rs 207.25 crore
- Week 2: Rs 253.25 crore
- Week 3: Rs 172 crore
- Week 4: Rs 106.5 crore
- Week 5: Rs 47 crore
While 'Dhurandhar' has easily surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark multiple times, this week marks a significant milestone as it approaches the Rs 50 crore net within its fifth week.
By the conclusion of Day 34, 'Dhurandhar' has achieved a stunning net total collection of Rs 786 crore in India alone. When factoring in the gross total, the film's earnings have soared to an estimated Rs 943 crore. Adding to its success, the film has also brought in Rs 284 crore from international markets, culminating in a colossal gross total of Rs 1227 crore.
As of Wednesday, 'Dhurandhar' officially claimed the title of the highest-grossing film in a single language (Hindi). According to box office statistics released by the producers, the film's total nett collection in India climbed to Rs 831.40 crore, thus eclipsing the lifetime earnings of Allu Arjun’s 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', which had previously amassed around Rs 830 crore nett. This remarkable achievement also places 'Dhurandhar' ahead of other notable Hindi films, including Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Jawan', which collected Rs 643 crore, and the horror-comedy hit 'Stree 2', which earned an estimated Rs 627 crore.
